An outstanding litter between Diesel, our playful blk/silver boy from Royalair & our very own Penelope, bred down from 5 generations of Salhaus dogs, starting way back with Irish, our 136 lb foundation girl, are here! We will get wonderful size & temperaments from the pups out of these two. Both have fantastic personalities & are oversized with straight-backed builds. We know without a doubt that these pups will be everything Salhaus pups are expected to be. The combination of these 2 will be incredible, as has been demonstrated from their first litter. Please see their prior pups Axel, Cooley & Mossad on our photo gallery 2 page. In this litter, the pups look to be either blk/tan or possibly blk/red pups. We have 4 fat, healthy babies consisting of 1 girl & 3 boys. They should be mostly short coats, with a possibility of a plush coat or 2 in the bunch. The pups will have standard mask & saddle markings & also some with darker markings, similar to their grandfather, Monty. Generally by the time our pups are ready for new homes, they are all spoken for, so please don't hesistate to contact me to get put on our waiting list.

Diesel has been a busy boy this summer! He & Pony have bred for a litter due at the end of August. Diesel is our playful blk/silver stud dog from the long-established Royalair Kennels in Iowa. Pony carries our original bloodlines down from 5 generations of Salhaus dogs, starting way back with Irish, our 136 lb foundation girl. We will get wonderful size & temperaments from the pups out of these two. Both have fantastic personalities & are oversized with straight-backed builds. Eventhough this is a first time breeding with these 2 dogs, we know that the resulting pups will be everything Salhaus pups are expected to be, because Diesel has already given us fantastic pups out of our girls related to Pony. So the genetics & bloodlines are similar to pups that we've already produced. In this litter, we will have a variety of colors including blk/tan, blk/silver, bi-black, & possibly solid black & solid white. We will have mostly short coats, but possibly plush coats, as well. Generally by the time our pups are ready for new homes, they are all spoken for, so please don't hesistate to contact me to get put on our waiting list.

Penelope had 4 health babies on 6/25/08. We have 1 girl & 4 boys. These pups are born almost solid black, but let me assure you that they do have color. Just as Dalamation pups are born solid white, with their spots coming in as they mature, these Shepherd pups will gain their traditional markings as they mature. The pups' legs seem to be tan, but they have red in their faces. So we may end up with some of these pups being blk/reds like their mama.

Penelope's babies are growing like weeds! They are 1 week old already. Time flies! They don't do much else, but eat & sleep. Penelope is a really good mother. Next week, their little eyes will be opening, just like Fiona's babies who are 5 days older. We've marked the pups with the border colors below. We have blue boy, orange boy, white boy & tan girl. We mark them with fingernail polish in their coats to distinguish who's who!
